Looking back . . .

Hi Everyone. It has come to my attention that some of you are anxious for the entry on Oktoberfest (version Columbus). I am well aware of this situation, but I must inform you that Andy was looking forward to writing that entry and he is out of town this week, so you will just have to wait a little longer. However to calm your nerves until then, I will fill the blog with a gaze back at the weekend of July the fourth.

Over that weekend, Andy's parents came to town for a visit. One of the highlights was a trip to the Franklin Park Conservatory.

One interesting piece of artwork at the conservatory was this large building made of tree branches. Excuse my lack of expertise with regards to art. My parents always stopped my beautiful drawings that I colored on the walls at home when I was a kid, so I'm not really fluent in the arts. (Just kidding mom and dad, you know I love you!!!!) Anyway, I'm not sure exactly what this is or who made it, but I think its really neat.

The conservatory is also home to a Dale Chihuly exhibition which is just out of this world. He is the most amazing, uh, glass artist is I think what you would call him. Here are a few samples of his work that can be seen at this place.

And since we did go to a conservatory, here are some pictures of trees, plants, and flowers.

Andy took all these pictures by the way! Isn't he great?
