Many bruises
Last weekend Andy and I went to visit our friend Patrick in Parkersburg West Virginia. On Saturday we all went skiing at Wisp ski resort on the western tip of Maryland. Andy and Patrick are both vetrans on the snowy slopes, but I however, am not. I decided to take a lesson so that Andy and Patrick wouldn't have to wait up on me all the time. At first I thought it would be 26 year old me with all the 10 year olds. Much to my surprise, there were quite a few adults also taking lessons so the group was split into children and adults. The experience was fun, but I didn't realize when you ski, you use EVERY single muscle in your body so I was very very sore the next few days. I also managed to get bruises through many layers of clothing and snow pants which is wierd, but they are still around.
Here are some pictures of me on the MONSTER hill where I learned how to ski. I am holding my poles in front of my because the instructor told me too. He said I just flailed the poles around and I guess that doesn't help you stay upright.

Next, is a picture or Patrick on top of the mountain that I never made it up. I stayed on the bunny hill where there was a "magic carpet" that was like an escalator that took you up a tiny hill. I wasn't quite ready for the chair lift. Isn't that a beautiful view?

By the way, Patrick is famous. He is the morning anchor for the Parkersburg news. You could call him their local hero!
Unfortunately there are no pictures of Andy. He always ends up taking all the pictures because he is so good at it, so there aren't very many of him. Hopefully we'll get some up of him in the near future!
