Oldness

For the first time in my life, I really do feel like I'm getting old. I've been running quite a bit the past month and all winter I used Andy's road bike set up on a trainer in the living room. So I'm not super out of shape and I have been doing physical activity fairly consistently. On Sunday I ran a little over 3 miles which is has been the norm lately. I also didn't run faster or harder then I usually do either. However, when I woke up on Monday, my left knee was in pain so I decided to take a day off of running. Tuesday it felt quite a bit better, but I still wanted to be careful so I only ran 2 miles, very slowly. Wednesday morning I woke up and to my dismay, the pain was more intense than it was before.

With my largest numbered birthday to date coming up next week, I feel older than ever. I mean who wakes up with a random pain for no reason? Old people do! It wasn't like it was the first time I had exercised in 2 years. This pain was no "I'm out of shape and I'm really sore pain". It was a "Hey Michelle, you are getting old" type of random pain. 'Sigh'

Sunday I am running another 5k - it's the April Fools Day 5k and I'll let you know how old I feel after that.

Faith and Begorrah!

For St. Paddy's Day we decided to run the Chase Shamrock Shuffle 5K. We suited up in all the green clothing we could find, and headed out into the cold... the snowing, windy, cold. Very unexpected since it was in the 70's outside just two days prior.

Andy discovered uppon arrival at the event that he probably would have frozen had it not been for his festive knee socks. We had a great time despite the weather and even got beer glasses for finishing in the top 50. Too bad you couldn't make it, Harry!

In other news: The University of Tennessee's mens basketball team just beat UVA, so it looks like we get a rematch with them who shall not be named. You know who we mean. GO VOLS!

Here is another one! Don't miss the one before this either (I posted both at the same time)!

They are too much fun!

I'm obsessed

It's been 2 months since Andy and I went to our first Gogol Bordello concert and I'm already begging for more. How I would love to become a groupie and go on their Australia/Japan tour in April! Here is a clip from a live show - enjoy! It's AWESOME!!!
